WHITE HOUSE FILING IN CREW LAWSUIT REVEALS NO BACKUP TAPES DURING LAUNCH OF IRAQ WAR

6 May 2008 // Late last night, in response to an order of the court in CREW v. EOP, the White House filed a third declaration of Office of Administration Chief Information Officer Theresa Payton in which the White House admitted, among other things, that it has no backup tapes for White House emails for the period March 1, 2003 through May 22, 2003.

9 Apr 2008 // Washington, DC - Today, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) alleging that the non-profit group U.S. Term Limits (USTL) violated federal election law by running an advertisement advocating the election of Bob Schaffer for the U.S. Senate in Colorado.

CREW ASKS FOR HOUSE ETHICS COMM. INVESTIGATION INTO MEMBERS’ ILLEGAL USE OF OFFICIAL RESOURCES FOR CAMPAIGN PURPOSES

6 May 2008 // Earlier today, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) sent a letter to the House Committee on Standards of Official Conduct, more commonly known as the Ethics Committee, asking the Committee to take immediate action in the face of the developing crisis of members illegally using official resources for campaign purposes.
