FOIA Requests (Legal Filings), Federal Agencies, Department of Justice, Department of Homeland Security, FOIA
Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) sent Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests to the Department of Justice and Department of Homeland Security seeking documents regarding methods of communication used by the White House to communicate with agencies or agency components of the executive branch. CREW seeks to determine whether the Bush administration has adopted a policy or practice of not using email to avoid creating publicly accessible record of their actions.
