CREW Sends HHS FOIA to Determine Policy of Funding Pregancy Resource Centers
Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) sent a FOIA Request to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). CREW requests any and all documents and records from any office of HHS, its agencies, offices, regional offices, and its components. Among the requests, CREW specifically seeks documents and records that relate to the July 2006 report "False and Misleading Health Information Provided by Federally Funded Pregnancy Resource Centers," documents and records provided to the staff of the House of Representatives who prepared the report, and all documents proposed or taken in response to the report. CREW also seeks documents or records of any communications with any other federal, state, or local governmental agencies regarding pregnancy resource centers requesting or receiving grants through the Compassion Capital Fund as well as all documents and records of any communications with the White House regarding pregnancy resource centers requesting or receiving grants through the same fund.
