CREW and Other Government Transparency Advocates Call on OPM to Revise FOIA Personnel Practices

Washington, D.C. – Today, CREW joined other government transparency advocates in calling on the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to revise its report on personnel practices for government employees who administer the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). OPM’s existing report fails to fulfill Congress’ intentions for the FOIA and the expectations of those who regularly file FOIA requests.

To support the Obama administration’s renewed commitment to transparency and openness, OPM must reexamine its FOIA personnel policies.
