DOJ Claims No Documents Are Responsive To CREW’s Request for Records of Problems With Email Storage

US Department of Justice

Washington, D.C. - Late last Friday CREW received a response from the Department of Justice’s Office of Legal Counsel (OLC) to CREW’s Freedom of Information Act request of February 26, 2010, requesting records that indicate a problem with the storage or retention of emails from former OLC official John Yoo and Patrick Philbin light of the revelation the vast majority of their emails are missing.

According to OLC, there are no documents responsive to this request. Click here to read OLC's letter to CREW.
