CREW Sends FOIA to Interior Dept. Seeking Details on Rejected Endangered Species Act Recommendations

Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) has sent a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the Interior Department seeking information regarding staff scientists’ recommendations to protect imperiled animals and plants under the Endangered Species Act. CREW seeks scientific information as well as any economic information considered by the Administration when rendering decisions whether to treat a species as threatened or endangered under the Act.
