WSJ: Abramoff cooperating about his ties to Karl Rove and other White House Staff

For months, we've been hearing the reports that Jack Abramoff is cooperating with federal officials. Today's scoop from the Wall Street Journal (sub. req'd, but the full text can be found here) is that Abramoff is talking about his interactions with Karl Rove and other White House staff. The White House staffers-Jack Abramoff relationship isn't new news. For example, last October, the Los Angeles Times reported that Abramoff's team considered Ken Mehlman a "rock star." This is, however, the first time we've seen reports that federal investigators are investigating these relationships. Maybe the FBI can help find all the missing White House e-mails:

The Justice Department's Public Integrity Section is investigating connections between disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff and the White House, a probe that may be affected by missing White House emails.

Lawyers involved in the case said that beginning more than a year ago, federal prosecutors and Federal Bureau of Investigation agents interviewed Mr. Abramoff and other cooperating witnesses at length about numerous contacts between Mr. Abramoff and White House officials, including presidential adviser Karl Rove.

One focus of the Justice inquiry has been whether Mr. Abramoff obtained official favors in exchange for giving Bush administration officials expensive meals and tickets to sporting events and concerts. The White House has denied this.

When installing new systems you always contend for back up.
So for the Bush adminstration to say no back up , they are as stupid as the president. And if taxpayers dollars went into the new computer email system then we should get more of a refund on our tax return. Check to see if the company that installed the new system was not a Bush allied.
