6 Apr 2007 // Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) filed this amicus, or “friend-of-the-Court,” brief supporting the U.S. Government’s position that the Constitution does not protect congressional offices from searches in a criminal investigation. The case, United States v. Rayburn House Office Building, Room 2113, was argued in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit on May 15, 2007.
