When the news first broke on this subject last Friday, I gave-out a quick laugh when seeing another person left a comment asking if perhaps Putin wants Cheney. The fact is it isn't a joking matter! Putin wants and has Cheney so long as Cheney remains VP, because so long as Cheney remains VP, he will remain Putin's highest ranking Russian operative in the US federal government!

If there is one thing Cheney isn't short of, it is links to Putin! Cheney had seemingly the full attention of Jack Abramoff whose visitor records to the White House and Cheney's residence at the Naval Observatory were blocked by Cheney using the excuse of executive priviledge. Jack Abramoff had plenty of Russian clients (as did his protege, William Buckham former Tom DeLay Chief of Staff turned lobbyist). It was widely reported Cheney had a party at his home at the Naval Observatory last year sponsored by a Russian vodka company. Cheney's links to Brent Wilkes (Cunningham's coconspirator # 1 charged in San Diego but not yet in D.C.) go back to the early nineties and last summer the Associated Press learned Wilkes was being linked to Russia by a D.C. Grand Jury. Also, there are some questions we all must be asking: Halliburton and Lockheed--both in competitive industries have how many contracts in Russia, obtainable only by supporting a Putin agenda here in the US? The Cheneys have how much Halliburton and Lockheed stock? How would that stock be affected if Putin ended Halliburton and Lockheed's contracts? It is pretty obvious the Cheney family net worth greatly would suffer! Lockheed and Halliburton's lucrative Russian contracts show just how well paid VP Cheney is for the work he does for Putin. The odds, too, are great that the Russians had representatives on Cheney's 2001 energy task force and that is why Cheney has refused to diclose its members.

Probably the most important situation Cheney is trying to cover-up is his being Putin's rainmaker! Any classified information Putin would want to know, Cheney likely gave him. Putin is a mob boss so that makes Cheney an organized crime figure at the same time he spies and commits official acts for Putin.

Consider how many heart attacks Cheney already has had. The blood clot in his leg just a few months ago (peripheral artery disease) suggests he's got hardening of the arteries elsewhere in his body such as in his carotid and possibly even plaque build-up in arteries within his brain. Odds are highest a stroke might take Cheney before another heart attack does and that this stroke occurs in well under a year! He already is at the end of his life, so he has very little to lose by stonewalling Congress and other oversight bodies, and continuing in his role as Putin's highest ranking US spy. Those who do crime and keep getting away with it will keep pushing the envelope of their crimes making them each time that much more spectacular until they are either caught and jailed or killed/dead.

I know from what Cheney did to my employer for Putin that he is apart of the more publicized corruption probes (Cunningham and Abramoff). The odds of Cheney's health surviving a trial to emerge from the probes are slim and none. Cheney should be sent to the gallows or chair because he is a traitor, but even if only jail time were to emerge from the corruption probe trials, the odds are Cheney's health will fail before he spends a day in jail.

Congress and in particular Congressman Waxman need to move faster in their probes of Cheney if Americans are ever to feel remotely vindicated for Cheney's treason (energy and tech), because Cheney's poor health record suggests he's one step away from a natural death. Congress and in particular Chairman Waxman need to move faster, too, because every day that passes with Cheney as the nation's VP is another day the nation's national security is breached and the US hasn't a single secret kept from Putin.
