Read the "confidential memo" from the Minnesota Republican Party that is the basis of CREW's FEC complaint
CREW filed a Federal Election Commission (FEC) complaint today against the Republican Party of Minnesota and its former treasurer, Marina Taubenberger, alleging multiple egregious violations of the Federal Election Campaign Act (FECA) and FEC regulations. The complaint is based primarily upon a February 15, 2007 confidential memorandum from former Republican Party of Minnesota finance director Dwight Tostenson to the Party's Executive Committee. You really have to read that memo. Here it is:

Congressman Waxman and Taylor's Second Deposition
The RNC auditor memo looks related to Waxman's concerns with the RNC, and his second line of questions for Taylor in re e-mails and politicization.

Also, consider the three legs of the White House stool: legal, public affairs, and politicial. It looks like the DoJ US Atty firings were, in part, related to the US Attys stumbling on the DoD-CIA contracts for bogus work with front companies funnelling money back into the GOP campaign funds. The destroyed RNC e-mails appear to contain the deails of how the WH was coordinating the funds, like Nixon did, to corrupt the electorate.
Wilkes,Foggo,Cunningham etc.
in which case, could be that much of the hundreds of thousands spent by Jerry Lewis R-CA and Don Long, R-AL covered legal fees for Wilkes,Foggo, and those caught up in that investigation. But there are other places, too, where bushco liabilities could be great, such as Interior, Education, and who knows.
Sympathy for the Devil?
Y'know - I think it's wrong that *anyone* is treated that way by an employer, especially a hard-working, loyal employee like Mr. Tostenson. Regardless of his political affiliation, NO ONE deserves that kind of treatment.
...oh, but the IRONY has me ROTFLMAO!!!
Thanks guys. Made my day
This guy works for neofascist bastards for years and then whines when they screw _him_ over. Poor, poor baby. heh, heh, heh.
"confidential memo"
poor little baby. welcome to the new world order you've helped to create. my heart bleeds for you, asshole.
There are no Republicans..
..more nasty than the current crop of Minnesota Republicans. Exhibit One: Michele Bachman. Norm Coleman and Tim Pawlenty have the nice guy facades of car salesmen, but they could give a rats pitootie about folks without funds or connections.
Loyal Republicans
So let's get this straight.
The guy is a loyal Republican, extremely loyal to the party, has raised millions of dollars for them, and now he's shocked, *shocked*, that they act like Republicans? And he *remains* a loyal Republican?
It would be tragic if it weren't for that last part. That's the part that makes it: hilarious. Don't these people ever learn?
Oh, well, I guess the fact that the memo is showing up here means someone has learned.
Are we surprised?
They DO eat their own! I'm shocked!

Did You See the E-mail Mentioned?
Mention of the e-mail in the memo looks like another line of questions for the Congress.
Disclosure of E-mail: Discovery For Congressional Committee
Did you see one of many key words in the memo: "email".
- Which RNC account was used to send the e-mail?
- What are the IP numbers attached to this e-mail?
- Which non-official websites are linked with this IP number?
This is like the DOJ Staff Atty e-mail . . . and another avenue for the Senate and House Judiciary to probe into the RNC e-mail accounts.
So, what was this guy? A US
So, what was this guy? A US attorney?
Who was this guy?
I have know Dwight since 1997 or so. He hired me to work on many of his projects for MNGOP. He is as nice a guy as you could meet. He even continued to work with me when I met with him wearing a "Jesse for Governor" shirt. Anyway, he is honest and can be trusted. By the way, it isn't just Republicans who "eat their own". I guess, we are forced to choose a party platform and live with the fallout. It bothers me that people think only Repubs are vicious. Any party with any power has it's share of bloodsuckers.
