9 Oct 2007 // Today, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request with the Office of Administration (OA), part of the Executive Office of the President, seeking documents about the OA's recent announcement that it is not an agency and therefore not subject to the FOIA. The OA made that announcement in August 2007 while in litigation with CREW over CREW's request for documents that would disclose the extent of the missing White House email problem and the fact that the White House knew about the problem, but did nothing, since October 2005.
