Rep. Waxman wants Abramoff documents from Bush White House
The Politico reported that Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA) is not getting Abramoff-related documents from the Bush administration:
House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Henry Waxman (D-Calif.) says the White House is improperly withholding roughly more than 600 pages of documents related to imprisoned former GOP lobbyist Jack Abramoff, and he wants them handed over to his committee by Nov. 6.
In a letter today to White House Counsel Fred Fielding, Waxman said, "The White House is withholding hundreds of pages of documents about the activities of convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff on the grounds that these documents involve internal White House deliberations. Unless the president is prepared to assert executive privilege over these documents, they should be turned over to the Oversight Committee without further delay."
According to Waxman, current and former White House officials are refusing to cooperate with his committee's ongoing probe into Abramoff's dealings with the White House.
Why would the Bush administration refuse to cooperate over its relationship with Abramoff? Spokespersons for the Bush White House have continually downplayed the interactions between Bush, his staff and Abramoff. But, the Bush staff did work closely with the Abramoff team. In fact, the Abramoff crew considered then-White House Political Director Ken Mehlman a "rock star."
And then, the President did meet Abramoff:

"Rock Star" Ken Mehlman was also at this event where 'George met Jack.' Ken was about 2-3 photo clicks away with his mom and dad.
Ken has also been evasive when talking about Jack, but they were really good friends. I believe Kenny is quoted saying "we don't know a lot about Jack, except what we read in the press..."
In fact, two years prior to that quote, Kenny sat down with Jack's family at Jack's house for a Passover Seder.
Why would the Bush administration refuse to cooperate
Washington DC is awash in corruption. Behind every monument is a lobbyist with a sack full of cash waiting to be doled out to elected dirt bags and their suck ass staff.

Abramoff recycled his secretary to be more effective as Rove's
Of great importance and not mentioned above is that Jack Abramoff recycled his Admin Assistant, Susan Ralston, to become Karl Rove's Executive Secretary. She was more valuable to Abramoff as Rove's secretary where she could push Abramoff's agenda and give him an inside scoop on everything ongoing in the President's office, than as his (Abramoff's) own secretary.
Karl Rove, of course, was Bush's right hand.
It is a real shame that Waxman isn't genuine, too! More than corrupt, he's a traitor! My own dealings with his Information Policy staff apart of the Government Oversight and Reform Committee 2 weeks ago taught me that Waxman is as dirty as the Administration he is assigned to oversee. I have on my keychain a biometric credential denied consideration by the US DHS since it opened its doors because management of the inventor refused to become Kremlin owned and was punished by the US DHS which only awards prime contracts to companies majority-owned by the crime gang presently controlling the Kremlin. Kathleen Kraninger, director of screening technologies in Chertoff's office lied to the Information Policy staff 2 weeks ago yesterday in a hearing stating that the DHS' special programs were utilizing the best of the biometric credentials available. Kathleen Kraninger is loyal to Lockheed Martin which is controlling all federal credentialing programs and is majority owned by the Kremlin's crime gang! Hence, Kathleen Kraninger swore loyalty to Vladmir Putin, the Kremlin and the mob!
There could be only one reason why Waxman's Information Policy staff didn't want to know they had been lied to since it is a federal offense to lie to congress. That reason is Waxman's Information Policy staff were in on the lie! Waxman has been bought by the Kremlin and Mafia! This is just the most recent example, but he along with Tom Davis have such a history in the 4 years I have tracked them to favor the Russian Mafia.
Both will soon fry in public opinion, because the screening technologies they favored are owned by the same crime gang that is financing homegrown terror cells operating in western democracies, and training the terror cell members. In other words, Waxman and Davis gave to this day terror cell backers the financial incentive to keep backing the terror cells so that they attack us. In fact, over the next couple of years, very few of who are in congress now, will survive the pending news.
If House attorneys hadn't been so busy fighting US DOJ using the speech and debate clause as a scapegoat, the Dems might have had a chance to mend their ways before they repeated the same criminal mistakes the GOP made. Unfortunately for the Dems...they weren't bright enough to realize that they should let US DOJ have what it needs to bring indictments so that the Dems themselves could learn from the mistakes made by RNC members and have repeated the same mistakes that carry jail terms. There is some serious irony that the last 2 chairmen of the House Government Oversight and Reform Committee both set-up themselves to go to jail, so they will have spent their chairmanships staging, while behind the scenes they themselves racketeered and committed treason!
