The Speech and Debate clause wouldn't be a sound defense before the Supreme Court if US DOJ added as the greatest charge against Tom DeLay, John Doolittle, Jerry Lewis, Ted Stevens, Don Young, Curt Weldon, James Taylor, etc. treason! All the aforementioned were bribed by Vladmir Putin's agents to pass favorable legislation and add earmarks to benefit Russia and its agents.
