CREW FILES COMPLAINT AGAINST VA FOR PTSD DOCUMENTS
Related News Releases
28 Aug 2008 // CREW has filed a complaint against the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), based on the VA's failure to respond to CREW's Freedom of Information Act request for documents related to the VA's diagnosis and treatment of veterans with PTSD. The VA has refused to grant CREW's request for a fee waiver, has refused to rule on CREW's appeal of that decision, and has refused to release to CREW a single document on this important issue. CREW filed its FOIA request to shed light on the extent to which the VA has affirmatively refused to diagnosis veterans with PTSD, adopting instead a policy of making alternative diagnoses that are less costly.
