CREW SEEKS RECORDS RELATED TO GOVERNOR PALIN'S EFFORTS TO FIRE ALASKA PUBLIC SAFETY COMMISSIONER

Sarah Palin

2 Sep 2008 // Today CREW sent requests under the Alaska Public Records Act to Alaska's Office of the Governor and Department of Public Safety for records related to the firing of Alaska Public Safety Commissioner Walter Monegan and Alaska State Trooper Mike Wooten. As CREW explained in its requests, these records are in the public interest given that they concern Governor Sarah Palin and her role in the firing of Mr. Monegan because of his refusal to terminate the employment of Governor Palin's former brother-in-law, State Trooper Wooten.
