CREW SUES DHS FOR FAILURE TO PROVIDE STEPHEN PAYNE VISIT RECORDS

4 Sep 2008 // Today CREW sued the U.S. Department of Homeland Security over the refusal of the Secret Service, a DHS component, to respond to CREW's Freedom of Information Act request for White House visitor records of Stephen Payne. Mr. Payne, a lobbyist with access to top White House officials, is accused of selling access to White House officials in exchange for contributions to the Bush Presidential Library.
