Alaska Governor’s Office Asks For An Extension Of Time To Respond To CREW’s Public Interest Request -- Again
Today, CREW learned that the Alaska Governor’s Office has requested its third extension of time to respond to CREW’s request for documents related to the firing of Alaska Public Safety Commissioner Walter Monegan. The attorney general -- the same attorney general who has helped Governor Palin protect her email from public scrutiny -- is empowered to rule on the Governor’s request for an extension. No suspense on how that one will come out. The Governor’s latest reason for needing more time reads a little bit like “The dog ate my homework.”
Citing “circumstances beyond my control,” Governor Palin’s administrative director explained that the need for “more prolonged review” and one sick lawyer means they simply cannot complete their processing until October 31, 2008. Will any of us be surprised when they submit a fourth request for more time and ask for a date after the election? Nor is there any mystery on the final outcome of the Governor’s “prolonged review”; we expect to receive little of substance based on a stated need to protect as deliberative discussions involving Governor Palin and “first dude” Todd Palin.
At least CREW has not been presented with a multi-million dollar bill for processing . . . not yet.

It seems Sarah Palin feels she is above the law and that rules do not apply to her. She just does what she wants and acts like no one should scrutinize her or judge her. WHO DOES SHE THINK SHE IS?? She complains that the media has been too hard on her. I don't think they have been hard enough! I hope people will think before they go to the polls on Nov. 4. THANKS, BUT NO THANKS, SARAH! We don't need your kind of leadership!

If we had Sarah's kind of conservative leadership, such as has been demonstrated in Alaska, where they love and support her, this country would be far ahead of where we are now, because she would have cut taxes on small businesses which would have had a great impact on the increase of jobs, which is where they come from. Democrats don't know this, so, that's why they want all the power to control our lives, which is what is going to happen if Obama brings all these pie-in-the-sky "fixes" into being. When government has the power to give you all you want, they have the power to take it away!!!!
Please take the blinders off and look at the facts. Are you for abortion (that's the murder of unborn children, in case you didn't know)? Are you for taking God out of everything in this country? These are the platforms of the Democratic party, which will lead those followers to hell, because they are an abomination to God. If you read the Bible, believe in what it says, and follow God's ways, then you will be saved from such a fate.

Gov.Sarah Palin “IS” found “GUILTY” by the Alaska State Legislature [60] Lawmakers, [Mostly Republicans] .in the Investigation of Firing "the Chief of the Alaska State Public Safety Commissioner”, the much respected Walt Monegan.
In plain English, Sarah Palin has been legally PROVEN that she broke the Alaska State Ethics Law in ABUSING HER power in pushing for the firing of a State Trooper once married to her sister and by also ALLOWING her husband Todd Palin to use the Alaska Governor's Office in a crusade against the Officer. THE FOURTH: 0ther Ethics Violation Complaint: Gov. Sarah Palin, may be facing yet again, another ethics investigation back in her home state of Alaska. The fourth ethics complaint which has been obtained by NBC News has been filed. Aides to the Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin improperly obtained her former brother-in-law's State Police Personnel files and cited information from those records to raise complaints about the State Officer. John Cyr, Director of the Union filed the complaint. John Cyr told NBC News, "It seems obvious to us somebody has improperly accessed [Wooten's] Personnel File." The complaint alleges "Criminal Penalties May Apply."

Honestly people, just because someone "writes" a report, it doesn't make it true. If Palin's people write that she is cleared of any charges, and some columnist writes that she is convicted...who is right? Here is a good test of truth in journalism. I don't think many would disagree that national media has a right-shifted focus, with the exception of Fox. If Palin were actually convicted, where is the "breaking national news" from MSNBC and CNN? Do you not think they would want to continue defaming her as much as possible? Of course they do. It's a great story, and takes another pot-shot at Palin. What liberal reporter would NOT want a piece of that juicy action?
Answer, there IS not conviction, so there IS NO breaking story. They know that Palin is so entrenched in battling nonsense ethics charges (mostly from outside sources not even Alaska residents), she won't take time to battle every small/minor issue. These countless ethics charges are filed, just to take up the majority of her time, so she can not attend to politics. I believe that is the reason she stepped down. Question is...Is it working? Unfortunately, I think it is working pretty well. I would not want to be in her shoes, and I would not be surprised if she steps down from politics 'completely' after all this nonsense. Who (in their right mind) would want to subject their family to this? I wouldn't.
My personal belief is that we need more NON-politician-politicians. More regular folks to rise up through the ranks into politics. Unfortunately, those with strong political ties seem to have the lion's share of contacts with negative nay-sayers, so that this is rare, if 'ever' possible.

I think this McLeod person should pack up and move to Washington DC - having lived and worked there for 13 years I could not wait to get away from there. McLeod fits the necessary qualities to work there.
He/She (I don't know the gender) should spend some time taking Obama to task for the use of the military planes to transport his wife and children around Europe, etc. His wife met him in France on one of his trips - notice met - she flew on the flights that become AirForceOne if he is on them. She did not continue on with him but did some visiting and came home - again using one of those planes. The cost of these flights is extraordinary. Look into this disgusting waste of money (trip to NYC to take his wife to a Broadway show- cost thousands) - Leave Palin alone with her measly money and go after the big one. Try that and see where you get.
