IN CREW'S LAWSUIT ON MISSING EMAILS, WHITE HOUSE CLAIMS MISSING EMAILS WERE NEVER ACTUALLY MISSING

White House side view

16 Jan 2009 // Yesterday in CREW v. EOP, CREW's lawsuit challenging the failure of the White House to preserve millions of missing White House emails to put into place an effective electronic record keeping system, the White House claimed in a filing that the 14 million email were never actually missing. The White House made this claim in a brief opposing the production of a full administrative record that would explain why the White House decided not to restore the emails or implement an electronic record keeping system.
