CREW urges MSNBC to stop airing US Citizen Assoc. ad: "MSNBC should be embarrassed this one got through and pull it immediately"
Today, CREW sent a letter to MSNBC President Phil Griffin asking that MSNBC stop airing an ad sponsored by the U.S. Citizens Association. The ad, which ran at least once on August 27, 2009, during Morning Joe, violates Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulations and NBC’s advertising policy. (The letter can be seen here.)
According to its website, the U.S. Citizens Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to, among other things, informing “the public on the fallacies of the information being spread by the liberal socialist organizations and the facts on capitalism versus socialism.” The ad, which can be viewed on the organization’s website opposes healthcare reform and includes the following statements:
- Government can tax and print money, which will eliminate private healthcare and impose socialized medicine.
- You will wait months and years for treatment. Many people will not get treated at all.
- You will pay for free healthcare for over 20 million illegal aliens.
In its letter, CREW noted that some of the ad’s claims are ludicrous, for example, the U.S. has been taxing citizens and printing money for over 200 years, without any obvious impact on private healthcare. Other claims, such as that healthcare will be rationed and 20 million illegal aliens will receive free healthcare, have been debunked.
The FCC expects broadcasters not to air false or misleading ads and NBC requires a “reasonable basis for the claims” made by an advertiser and that claims “fall within the bounds of reasonable debate.” By airing U.S. Citizens Association’s ludicrous advertisement, MSNBC appears to have violated both FCC and NBC policy.
CREW Executive Director Melanie Sloan said:
The ad goes beyond misleading and well into delusional. There is no reasonable explanation for airing an ad that irrationally argues because the government can tax and print money, private healthcare will be eliminated. MSNBC should be embarrassed this one got through and pull it immediately.
Boycott Media that carry US Citizens Associations Propaganda
People should ask in their own self interest “who are these people, who do they work for and what is their agenda”.
The US Citizens Association is not a grassroots movement and has no author. They are the Big Money multinational corporation’s spending money (50 million so far) and recruiting soldiers to do what to whom? Who do they represent- You or the multinational traitors to our country?
The Republican Party and multinational corporations hate “American entitlements” which is anything for the benefit of the American People and they want to put an end to Social Security, Medicare, Veterans’ benefits and Employment benefits.
Bush tried his hardest to tie those benefits to the Stock Market but failed. If Bush would have succeeded all of those benefits today would have been gone along with the rest of Americas’ money (gone where ask yourself?). When Bush says “entitlements” it’s with hate and disgust in his voice for you.
The independent newspapers that were supposed to be the watchdog of Americas’ freedom and democracy are controlled by multinational Big Money and march in lock-step on command. The unanimous publishing of the US Citizens Associations Propaganda proves that. The last bastion of free discourse is the Internet, (congratulations CREW) all other media is owned by the multinational corporations. (the liberal media- is a hidden lie). You will notice that all of those newspapers have a listing under US Citizens Association (Google) that is blank, just waiting there for the next attack on the American Main Street Capitalist and workers.
This Big Money subversive campaign know that Americans will eventually have to face the fact that they are unemployed and are left holding the bag; the last thing they want is for the American People to realize that the Republican Party, owned/controlled media and the multinational empire is to blame for the Treason. They think that they can buy the truth with money. The Rove philosophy of repeating lies long enough and hard enough that they become the truth, is self evident. NEVER address the truth is the Rove rule. Their tactic is to confuse the truth with lies and brainwash the American Main Street Capitalist and American workers to act in their interest and not in their own self interest. The Traitors want to channel the coming rage away from themselves and toward bloated government that they themselves created to steal America’s natural resources. Socialism for the rich and free enterprise for the poor was not good enough for them they moved to Communist China.
The multinational corporations own Congress not only the Republican Party but the Democrat Party as well. Democrats have to purge the Traitor Democrats from the party and reclaim it to fight back.
Know your enemy who is recruiting soldiers against you. Boycott newspapers chains that are part of the conspiracy. Send your cancel subscription notice to them because they have failed their civic duty of safeguarding Freedom and Democracy.
Boycott the media sponsors by protesting against the stations that carry the hate propagandist.
US Citizens Association Ad
I don't know about MSNBC, but this tripe is airing round the clock on DISH satellite. I haven't really noticed the channels, but it is on more than one, since I never listen to MSNBC before 7:00 pm and I have heard it several times earlier in the day and for several days. They don't miss a single hot button or waste any time trying to make sense.
US Citizens ad...
It air around the clock on DISH satelitte, you can see it on CNN, MSNBC, FOX News and just about any other station on cable. The group is able to do this based on fundraising they have successfully raised. You would be surprised to know they actually pay a much higher rate for their ads because of their message, then others buying the same time slots.
As it's membership and donations increase, you'll see more and more of their ads. That is the purpose of the organization, to combat what is called the "liberal Media" and give a voice to those who oppose what the government is doing. It's no different then moveon.org, acorn, etc., it's just the other voice.

Who is the author? The secrecy, style and tactic of accusing someone else of something they are themselves guilty of are reminiscent of Rove and the Republican Party. Mega Bucks, out recruiting soldiers for their goon squads and testing controlled media for compliant editors.
Americans must understand the difference between Freedom and Democracy and totalitarian Communism; like water and oil they do not mix.
True, the Chinese Communist have formed the largest mega-corporation in the World thanks to secret Bush long-term “Free Trade” agreements that effectively hamstrung any following president and conspired for the movement of trillions of dollars in American assets to China. Bush further hamstrung the new president by conspiring to bankrupt our Federal government by indebting us primarily to Communist China. The Iraq war was a conspiracy to steal oil and indebt our nation while making a secret deal for Bin Laden’s “security” and allowing the enemy to flourish in the Opium trade unimpeded. Bush deregulation and bailout of the mortgage, banking and insurance multinational corporations was also a part of the conspiracy to bankrupt America and hamstring the new president.
July 27, 2009 will live as a day of infamy; the President of the U.S representing the multinational corporate empire joining in partnership with the Communist Party representing the Chinese work force. America’s jobs are gone and they are not coming back! The Snipe hunt is over and Americans are holding the bag.
Is President Obama another puppet? National health care without first nationalizing corrupt health insurance into a non-profit, is ridiculous expensive. Obama’s mantra should be “Set my people free from debt, build a green economy, bring our soldiers home (war cost billions), and bring the conspirators to justice”.
2010 is the year scheduled for the North American Union (immigration) and the neo-con traitors’ conspiracy will be complete. Under World Trade laws, the citizen is responsible for national debt. The communist have no problem organizing slaves, some people will like it.
