CREW’s Open Government Plan Recommendation to the Office of Management and Budget (2014)

As the Office of Management and Budget draws up its biennial open government plan, in May 2014 CREW submitted recommendations on steps the office should take to embrace the president’s call for greater openness and transparency. CREW recommended increased disclosure concerning the activities of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, adopting best practices for proactive disclosure, centralized publishing of congressional budget justifications in an open format, the creation of a machine readable organization chart for the federal government, and reviewing how the federal government gathers data from forms.
