Washington, DC—Following the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit’s ruling today for Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) in the Tom DeLay documents case, CREW Executive Director Noah Bookbinder released the following statement:

“This is a massive victory for transparency. After nearly seven years of fighting for the information, we will finally know the reasoning behind the Department of Justice’s decision not to prosecute former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay. It may have taken more than half a dozen years, but we will always work, as long as it takes, to create a more open and transparent government.”
