Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) has led the charge to hold the Trump administration accountable for their actions. With already over 100 legal actions related to the new administration, CREW is delivering results.
In addition to President Trump, the Trump administration must be held accountable for their actions.
President Trump appointed his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, to be a senior adviser in the White House. Jared Kushner serving as a presidential advisor to a close family member raises a larger and more serious question about who his primary allegiance is to; the Constitution or to President Trump and his brand? In July, CREW sent a letter to the Office of Government Ethics asking whether Mr. Kushner must divest of his financial interests in Cadre, a real estate tech startup that he co-founded.
CREW was an instrumental voice in raising ethical concerns around former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, demanding congressional investigations into the firing of former FBI Director James Comey, and persistently advocating the installment of a special prosecutor, now Robert Mueller, into Russian interference in the 2016 election and whether there was any collusion between the Kremlin and the Trump campaign.
