- Copies of any documents describing the attendees at the March 22, 2017, dinner at the Trump International Hotel – Washington, D.C., the agenda of the dinner, and/or any planned follow-up actions by EPA; and
- Copies of any records documenting payments made by EPA to the Trump International Hotel – Washington, D.C., in relation to March 22, 2017, meeting.
The requested records would shed light on who Administrator Pruitt met with during the meeting and what he discussed with the attendees. News reports document that Mr. Pruitt has maintained close ties with the energy firms since his time as Attorney General of Oklahoma. The “topic” of the dinner as it is described on Administrator Pruitt’s schedule was “Environment, regulations and energy policy as well as the administration’s plans on US oil and natural gas development.” The records would increase public knowledge about how EPA communicates with industry stakeholders in private about public policy.
