Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) Executive Director Noah Bookbinder released the following statement on the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit’s decision against disclosure in Van Hollen v. FEC:

“It is unfortunate that on the sixth anniversary of the disastrous Citizens United decision, a powerful federal appeals court has issued a new decision upholding more limits on what political contributions need to be disclosed. We need to be taking steps to reduce the infusion of dark money into politics; instead, today’s decision allows for yet more secret political spending.”
