President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping continued their visit, speaking briefly in front of the press at an expanded bilateral meeting at Mar-a-Lago. Cabinet members and White House staff at the meeting with President Xi included United States Secretary of Defense James Mattis, White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus, and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, among others. White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, and President Trump all mentioned Mar-a-Lago in official remarks. President Trump said it was “a tremendous honor to have [President Xi ] in the United States and in Mar-a-Lago.”
