CREW is suing the DHS, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Customs and Border Protection and ICE for failing to produce records on an expedited basis in response to CREW’s FOIA request seeking information about the Trump administration’s efforts to track and surveil protestors. 

The State Department and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are failing to make international agreements publicly available in violation of the Case-Zablocki Act, leaving Americans in the dark about foreign deals being made on their behalf. Lawfare, a nonpartisan media organization represented by CREW, sued to compel the Trump administration to comply with the law.  

CREW is suing the Department of Justice (DOJ) for failing to produce records on an expedited basis in response to CREW’s FOIA requests about the agency’s collection of confidential voter information from state voter rolls. 

CREW is suing the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and U.S. Citizens and Immigration Services (USCIS) following their failure to respond to requests for records on DHS’s data sharing agreements with states and state entities for the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (“SAVE”) program.

CREW is suing DHS for failing to preserve text messaging data and NARA for its failure to initiate enforcement against these violations.
