CREW received a slew of documents and a response to its request.

CREW filed a Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) request with the New York Office of the Attorney General (OAG) relating to the OAG’s 2016 inquiry into the Donald J. Trump Foundation. Specifically, CREW requested records disclosed to news organizations on or about September 13, 2016 regarding the inquiry. Many of those documents were publicly disclosed on the Twitter feeds of Washington Post and NBC News reporters, and were widely described in news reports.
